Uncoloured Digi Card Challenge x

Hiya, thanks for visiting my blog :-) xx We've got our final challenge over at Flat Friends HERE and the theme is uncoloured digi cards. 

I was really excited about this challenge theme. You've probably noticed over the past couple of years that I love CAS designs and kraft card so I thought I would combine two of my favourite things for this last challenge entry. So here we have it - a very simple, plain, kraft card :-D I decided to use the 'Star Catcher' digi stamp as I thought it would work nicely with the cute moon and stars quote I saw the other day by Les Brown :-)

Say it with a Quote Challange x

Hiya, thanks for visiting my blog :-) xx We've got a new challenge over at Flat Friends HERE and this month the theme is cards with a quote. I love seeing cute quotes and sentiments out and about so really looking forward to seeing the entries. 

I searched for a while and kept coming back to A.A. Milne - Winne the Pooh! There are just so many cute ones - I seriously need to give Winnie another read with older eyes :-D I finally settled on a quote and thought it would go nicely with the new 'Put a Ring on It' stamp. I wanted to keep the main focus on the text so left the card very plain and just added touches of pink to the flower, ring, and nails on the digi to match the writing. For the fonts I chose 'Candy Round BTN' for the quote text and 'Bebas' for the pink Winnie the Pooh bit.

1 Layer Challenge x

Hiya, thanks for visiting my blog :-) xx We've got a new challenge over at Flat Friends HERE and this month we decided to go with 1 layer cards. I love CAS designs so am really excited this month to see everyone's beautiful creations.  

I really enjoyed making this card - it forced me to focus on my colouring a bit more which is good because I'm keen to practice with my Copics :-) I decided to go for the 'Prince Peck' digi as I wanted to make a Birthday Princess card for one of my friends. I was keen to add a bit of sparkle to the crowns so purchased some 'Ice Stickles Glitter Glue' which I've fallen in love with - tempted to go round the house blinging things up lol :-D

Anything but a Card challenge x

Hiya, thanks for visiting my blog :-) xx We've got a new challenge over at Flat Friends HERE and this month we decided to try to make 'anything but a card'. I'm really excited about this one - can't wait to see what people come up with :-D 

I decided to go for a bookmark for my creation - not very adventurous I know, lol, but it is something I will get some use out of so I thought it would be a good thing to have a go at. I tend to read in bed before I go to sleep so thought the Snuggles digi would work nicely for this. I coloured the image with my copics and decorated the back of the bookmark with a cute digital word clip art I found by 'liveURpassion' on Etsy.

Dies and/or Punches Challenge x

Hiya, thanks for popping by x We've got a new challenge over at Flat Friends HERE and we're making cards using dies and/or punches this month.

For my card I went with the new 'Love Heart' digi, coloured him with my copics, and mounted the image with foam pads. I punched the love hearts in using my Heart Tonic Studios Paper Punch. The papers behind the hearts are both from the 'Love Me' paper pad by My Minds Eye - lots of love on this card :-D 

Hopefully it will be another lovely busy month over at the challenge site - really looking forward to seeing everyone's entries xxx

Sentiment Challenge x

Hiya, thanks for popping by x We've got a new challenge over at Flat Friends HERE and  we're making cards with sentiments this month.

I always love looking at the sentiments people choose to match up with the digi's and card designs so I'm really looking forward to seeing the entries xx

For my card I decided to use the new girl selfie digi, I coloured her with copics and used the 'cheese' digital sentiment from the 'In The Kitchen' sentiment set by Ali Edwards as I thought it worked quite well with the image. That's about it on the supplies side apart from white card, kraft card, and some foam pads - another CAS card from me - promise to use some papers next month :-D xx

Our French Hols :-D xx

Hiya, I promised I would share some pics from our hols this month - we had the most amazing time and were sad to come home at the end of the break! We traveled over from London on the Eurostar to Paris for 3 nights first - Paris was amazing - we took a boat trip on the river seine on the 1st day to see all of the tourist highlights and then spent the rest of the time enjoying the fine wines and food that the city had to offer - a lot of happy, albeit blurry, memories :-) 

From Paris we headed on over to Disneyland which was a little bit of childhood heaven for me - Mr Canning had been a bit reluctant about going at 1st but absolutely loved it to bits once we were there. I managed to drag him on the scary rides which he admitted he enjoyed once they were done with, and we were both gobsmacked by the 'Disney Dreams' light show at the end of the day - half an hour of fireworks accompanied by dancing water and animations which were projected onto the Disney castle. 

Next on the agenda was a long weekend in Lyon with a couple of our lovely French friends - Lyon was absolutely beautiful and we were lucky enough to have our own local tour guides offering an insight into the city that we would never have seen on our own. We were absolutely spoiled to bits by our friends and genuinely couldn't have wished for a better stay!! :-D I've put a few pics from all parts of the holiday below for you to have a look. Lovely going through them properly for the first time since we got back - such wonderful memories :-) xx

Cards 4 Men Challenge x

Hiya, thanks for popping by x We've got a new challenge over at Flat Friends this month HERE and it's all about the boys/men this time round. I don't stumble upon that many handmade male cards when I'm looking on the internet so thought this one might be a fun one to do. 

As always, my card is very simple - the digi is coloured with copics and I just added a couple of boy-friendly papers to the inside to add a bit of extra colour. 

I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with this month - would be good to see a few more cards for boys and men out and about :-D xx
